This is the home of photographer Micky Hoyle. Located in the Oranjezicht suburb of Cape Town, with its cool colour palette and its many collections, it almost reads like an art gallery.
Hoyle is also a diy buff and took his time converting the home from a “nondescript” state by staining the floors, using old crates to create a wall panel treatment, painting and more. He describes his overall style as as “…earthy, eclectic, dramatic … and cheap!”

Feeling decidedly homesick after seeing this beautiful house! I think that is honestly the most beautiful bedside table/area I have ever seen!
P.S – I didn’t know you were a New Yorker!
Has a very natural feel to it.
oh my gosh that bedroom!
oh my goodness, this is pretty incredible!
This whole place is amazing but the light fixture over the dining table is THE BEST!
Hi Micky, you did find your dream house after all. Lovely, best wishes Gudrun
