In preparation for tomorrow’s Flower Power post, today I am sharing some of my images of the Pike Place Market in Seattle. The market has stalls with all of the usual suspects: pastries, homemade pasta, veggies…
But what impressed me the most were the flower stalls. So many beautiful blooms and so many arrangements for incredibly low prices($10-15 USD for a large bouquet?!) I just remember thinking “…if only I lived in this area!” I’m certain much of the grocery budget would actually go to flowers. But, who needs food when you can feast your eyes on this…

I would kill to have a flower market like that close by! I love to splurge on fresh flowers, but they are so expensive right now. I’ve been looking through books about cutting gardens and may put one in next spring. I don’t know what the magic of fresh flowers is, but they do bring something special to a room.

These flowers are beautiful! Perfect for the fall season. For some reason fresh flowers in my home always make me happy.
